Rodent remediation and exclusion in Miami

Comprehensive Rodent Remediation

Rats and mice are one of the fastest-growing pest problems in Miami-Dade. Roof rats are the most common species in Miami, gaining access through soffit gaps, vent screens, palm trees, and utility penetrations. A single breeding pair can produce 40+ offspring in a year, so quick, complete remediation is essential.

Our rodent remediation program goes well beyond simple bait stations. We focus on three pillars: remove the existing population, seal the access points, and verify with a follow-up. Bait alone doesn't solve a rodent problem — only exclusion (sealing) keeps them out for good.

What's Included — Starting at $450

  • Thorough inspection of the attic, exterior, soffits, eaves, plumbing penetrations, garage, and crawl spaces
  • Snap-trap and tamper-resistant bait station deployment in active zones
  • Sealing of up to 3 entry points with steel mesh, hydraulic cement, or copper wool (additional entry points $50–$150 each)
  • Follow-up visit to check traps and confirm no further activity
  • 60-day warranty — if rodents return during the warranty period, we re-treat free

Signs of a Rodent Infestation

  • Scratching or scurrying sounds in the attic or walls, especially at dusk and dawn
  • Rod-shaped droppings (¼"–½" long) in the kitchen, pantry, or attic
  • Gnaw marks on food packaging, wires, or wood
  • Greasy "rub marks" along baseboards and rafters
  • Urine odor in enclosed spaces
  • Pet behavior — dogs and cats fixating on walls or vents

Why Miami's Roof Rats Are Different

Roof rats (Rattus rattus) are excellent climbers and prefer aerial access — palm trees, power lines, fences, and rooflines. That means traditional ground-level exclusion isn't enough. We focus on roof-level entry points: dormer gaps, ridge vents, soffit returns, attic gable vents, and the gaps where utility lines penetrate exterior walls. Without sealing these high entries, rodents will simply return.

Rodent Bait Stations — $40 each

For ongoing protection in commercial settings (warehouses, restaurants, MFR), we install and maintain tamper-resistant exterior bait stations at $40 each. Quarterly rebait service is $5 per station.
